Thank you for visiting my website. I'd like to take this opportunity to let you know about my way of working with my clients and how I view the psychotherapeutic (counseling) process. When I am working with clients, I see myself as a guide creating a safe space for the client to explore the issues with which he or she struggles so that the thoughts and behaviors which are problematic can be addressed and resolved. In most instances, infants come into this world fully alive and expressive, We know when babies are happy and when they are upset. In the process of growing up, most of us lose much of our capacity to feel fully alive. If feeling fully alive, being able to engage in rich, fulfilling relationships is something that you desire, I'd love to help you get there. I focus on mind/body psychotherapy specializing in Bioenergetic Analysis which is explained on the next page of this site. I believe that our minds effect our bodies and our bodies effect our minds. In therapy sessions, not only do we talk, we also engage in bioenergetic exercises, movement and vocal expression. How we hold ourselves, the manner of our movements, our breathing patterns and the quality of our voice all give clues to the way we see ourselves in the world and our emotional states. Conversely, our emotional states are reflected in the way we stand, move, breathe and sound. So working with both mind and body make sense to me. Bioenergetic therapy is a very effective process for working on issues that just talking about doesn't resolve. I work with adults on issues of anger, anxiety, depression, addictions, self esteem, men's issues, sexuality and grief to name a few. I also work with couples helping them with their relationship issues. I hope this gives you a sense of how I work and how I see the therapeutic process.
